Multiplication table of 4 is listed here in continuation of the the 2 and 3 tables for the reading purpose of the students. Below the multiplication table you will find a quiz where you can check your learning. First, read 4th table maths then attempt this quiz. In the tables table of 4 is easy to remember after the 2 and 3rd multiplication tables. You can read here table of 3.

Table of 4 Reading

Early days of my childhood studies, recall me how we studied and learn the multiplication tables. Here I will suggest that you remember tables in your mother tongue. I remember in the 5th class teacher ask us to learn the tables in a group. One student speaks the table and rest we all repeat together in a tone. That time, it was up to the 25th tables. Now days for general multiplication, we use the calculator. Sometimes the calculator takes more time than the manual calculations.

4 × 1 = 4
4 × 2 = 8
4 × 3 = 12
4 × 4 = 16
4 × 5 = 20
4 × 6 = 24
4 × 7 = 28
4 × 8 = 32
4 × 9 = 36
4 × 10 = 40

To memorize the table see the row carefully, 4 x 1 = 4. You are adding 4 into zero then also you will get the same number 4 + 0 = 4. But if you will add 4 + 4 two times then it will be 8. So, you can see 4 x 2 is also equal to 8; four times two is eight.

Analysis of Maths Table

For the third row; 4 x 3 = 12 this multiplication you can see in this way 4 + 4 + 4 = 12, if you will add four 3 times then also you will get twleve. So multiplication of a major number with the second number signifies the frequency of the addition of the first number.  Here the first number is 4 and second number 3. If you will add 4 three times you will get the same result as discussed above.

In the fourth row: 4 x 4 = 16, this you can understand now; four times the addition of the number 4.

Example: 4 + 4 + 4 +4 = 16  so you can understand  4 x 4 = 16; for other rows, I can show you here in the listed form so you can memorize it easily.

  • For  4 x 5 =20, you can see the addition of 4 upto 5 times => 4 + 4 +4 +4 +4 = 20
  • For  4 x 6 =24, you can see the addition of 4 upto 6 times => 4 + 4 +4 +4 +4 + 4 = 24
  • For  4 x 7 =28, you can see the addition of 4 upto 7 times => 4 + 4 +4 +4 +4 + 4+ 4 = 28
